This is support work planning, scheduling and tracking IT Training related activities to maintain and expand the use of new and existing systems. The IT Testing and Training Coordinator coordinates, maintains and monitors training activities; monitors changes and performs documentation updates to support business requirements for new and existing systems and applications. Compiles, analyzes and validates progress and process documentation to ensure changes are tracked, completed and approved. Assists in establishing and maintaining maintenance standards and procedures. Prepares and maintains a variety of related material such as training materials, uniform documentation standards, records, file, reports, schedules, and correspondence. Develops and presents entry level training courses and adapts same to meet the learning needs of those in attendance. The role also identifies, investigates and documents hardware or software problems and corrects those of a routine nature. Performs related work as required.
Qualifications include completion of a one year certificate program in a discipline related to work at a technical institute or community college, plus some related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Adult learning certification is an asset. Ability to monitor, maintain and track training documentation and schedules; conduct testing and deliver results, as well as review and make recommendations for documentation or system improvements. Considerable knowledge of computer system practices, standards and system software tools; adult education methods and practices; the ability to create and edit technical systems and SAP module documentation following prescribed standards; experience with conveying technical concepts and related business procedures in a straightforward manner; proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally to user groups; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal contacts. While working in a team environment, the candidate should have the ability to independently make sound decisions while working on multiple projects concurrently. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office, uPerform and other learning development tools is required. A valid Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia is required.
This is temporary full time opportunity to June 30, 2019.
