Utility Operator I
The Town of Oliver invites applications for the position of Utility Operator I to work in the Operations Department. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations and guidance from Senior Utility Operators, this position; operates, maintains, repairs, adjusts and monitors municipal water and wastewater systems including lines, pump stations, reservoirs and wastewater treatment systems to ensure the water and wastewater systems meet the requirements of the provincial statutes and regulations.
Grade 12 supplemented with a minimum 2 years experience operating a water and wastewater systems, an EOCP Water Distribution Level I certificate, and Wastewater Treatment I certificate, Wastewater Collection I, Chlorine Handler Certificate, WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods Training are required. Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
This unionized position will pay an hourly rate ranging between $26.53 to $30.77 per hour along with a comprehensive benefits package dependant on qualification and experience.
