The hiking program operates out of various locations in the Greater Vancouver area. Programs include hiking, orienteering instruction, as well as day and evening guided hikes for groups of children, youth, and adult participants.
Hours of work per week are dependent on the program schedule and registration levels. This is a casual position that offers flexible hours year round. The successful candidate must be available to work some weekday evenings between 5:00pm and 9:00pm as well as weekends between 8:30am and 5:30pm.
Strong hiking and orienteering skills are required as well as previous guiding experience with a variety of ages. A background in customer service and leading recreation programs is preferred.
- A valid Wilderness First Aid Certification or equivalent.
- A valid CPR Level C
- Class 4 BC Driver's License.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.
