Recreation Worker 4 (Recreation Leader)

Applications are invited for the Regular Part-Time (35 hours per week) position of Recreation Worker 4 (Recreation Leader) to work in the Recreation, Culture and Community Services Department.  Reporting to the Recreation Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and implementing a variety of social, cultural and recreational activities for Youth. 
RATE OF PAY:          $23.61 to $25.23 per hour

35 hours per week (Monday to Sunday)

11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 
1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

*These hours will vary depending on programming and special events.

Applicants should have strong leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills. A valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License and First Aid Certificate is required.  A Diploma or Certificate in Recreation from a recognized Community College, and previous experience working with a broad age range of youth in a recreational setting or a combination of training and experience are desired.  Additionally, completion of High Five training, Foodsafe Certification, experience working with Social Media (Facebook, Twitter), maintaining webpages and Adobe Design Suite and a valid Class 4 B.C.
