Programmer I - Older Adults Services

Regular Part Time Position
(17.5 hours per week)

The District of Saanich is expanding its Older Adults Services. Saanich needs a Programmer I who can work alongside community partners to create dynamic programming that will enrich the lives of Older Adults. This position will support the implementation of a strategic plan, create and evaluate programming, and coordinate facility usage.

Requirements include a two year post-secondary diploma in recreation, leisure studies or a related field; two years of experience in program planning and staff instruction; satisfactory police information check and a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence.  The successful candidate will be required to work varying days during the week, with occasional weekends and evenings as required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  The successful candidate will work varying days during the week, with occasional weekends and evenings as required, 17.5 hours per week (hours/shifts are subject to change).

This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $33.97 per hour and an excellent benefits package.
