Manager of Business and Financial Performance


A dynamic career opportunity exists for a Manager of Business and Financial Performance on the City’s Financial Services Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of the City’s analytical and performance measurement strategies, policies and processes via the Organizational Excellence Working Group (OEWG). The OEWG works closely with senior leadership and all departments to identify the operational/business challenges to address by providing the following types of business and financial analytical service offerings: Financial Analysis and Reporting; Business Process Analysis; Resource Analysis and Planning; Project Management Support; Change Management Facilitation; and Business Case Support.

The ideal candidate will have training and experience in change management, risk management and/or project management along with an exceptional ability to communicate and organize work within a changing environment.

You will also possess a degree in Public or Business Administration, Finance or other relevant program, complemented by considerable experience (5 – 7 years) in providing support to senior managers using business cases, formal presentations and briefing notes with considerable experience at a management level preferably in a local government setting.
