Tradesperson 2 - Carpenter

The Civic Facilities Division is looking to add a Carpenter to their team who is self-motivated individual and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
As a Tradesperson 2 – Carpenter you will perform skilled carpentry trades tasks involving considerable physical effort and active performance of a variety of maintenance and minor construction jobs, alteration and repairs within City buildings and facilities.
- Completion of Grade 12
- A Carpentry Trades Qualification
- Previous experience and training as a qualified trades carpenter
- A Valid B.C. Driver's License with safe driving record.
As the successful candidate, you are able to work in a demanding environment where good physical capabilities and stamina are required. You must have thorough knowledge of carpentry practices, methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the carpentry trade. In addition, you are able to communicate effectively orally and in writing as well as understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
