Reminder: CAMA Virtual Annual General Meeting - June 2nd
CAMA's Annual General Meeting will take place virtually this year on Tuesday, June 2nd at 11:30 a.m. EST.   Please note the following details:
  • Logistics for Participating in the Annual General Meeting:
    • Only Regular Voting CAMA Members in good standing (with membership fees paid to March 31st, 2020) will be sent a link to pre-register for the meeting and will be able to attend the meeting.
    • With the Zoom Webinar software we will be able to provide the motions and polling instantaneously the day of the meeting.
  • President Jeff Renaud has pre-recorded his Annual Report Presentation and the link will be sent out prior to the meeting.
  • The following presentations will be made during the livestream Annual General Meeting:
    • CAMA’s Year-At-Glance by President Renaud
    • Presentation of the Audited Financial Statements and Appointment of Auditors for the 2020-2021 Year by Treasurer Cory Bellmore
    • Presentation of the 2020-2021 Board of Directors by Past President/Nominating Chair Marc Landry
    • Message from Incoming President-Elect Jake Rudolph
  • Reports and background information for the AGM will be forwarded to all CAMA members prior to the meeting.
  • The meeting will be recorded and made available to all members following June 2nd.
COVID-19: Additional Support Fund Now Available

 
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in uncertainty and anxiety for small businesses and their employees in all regions of Canada. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, which is why the Government of Canada has implemented a series of concrete and tangible measures to help them retain their employees, pay rent and access capital to cover costs. Building on these measures, the new Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF) devotes nearly $962 million to help more businesses and organizations in sectors such as manufacturing, technology, tourism and others that are key to the regions and to local economies.  The best way to help Canadian communities is through a source they already trust, which is why the six regional development agencies (RDA) will be delivering this funding. The funding will be allocated as follows:
Referral To Helpful Resources — Choices Pregnancy Center ...As municipal managers we have all experienced difficult working situations that require the exercise of sound judgment. Often times these situations are emotionally charged. These are times when we could use a sympathetic ear or a good sounding board. Contact your CAMA Board representative for your area when times are difficult and you are in need of experienced resources.
