The Companion Program will be offered and includes the Opening Reception, Opening and Closing Keynote Speakers, Casual Night Out, President’s Dinner, and Hospitality Suites. Companions also have the option of joining the delegates for the Pre-Conference Events (Golf Tournament, Old Quebec Food Tour, and the Trip to Le Parc de la Chute-Montmorency) along with the Study Tour to the Videotron Centre on Wednesday for an additional cost.

Nominate yourself, your community, or your colleague for the 2019 ICMA Local Government Excellence Awards
 


ICMA highlights outstanding contributions to the local government management profession through the annual Local Government Excellence Awards Program. This program provides an opportunity for both local government professionals and local governments to receive recognition.

Professional Awards are presented to individuals for:
  • Career excellence,
  • Development of new talent,
  • Excellence in leadership as an assistant (regardless of title),
  • Early career leadership, and
  • Academic contributions to the profession.
Outstanding Local Government Programs are recognized in these areas:
  • Community Diversity and Inclusion,
  • Community Health and Safety,
  • Community Partnerships,
  • Community Sustainability, and
  • Strategic Leadership and Governance.
Nominations are accepted from both U.S. and International Jurisdictions.
Program nominations are divided by jurisdiction size. Communities with a population of 10,000 or less are strongly encouraged to apply. Students are encouraged to nominate a professor for the Academic Award.
