Active Transportation Plan
Request for Proposals
The District is requesting proposals from experienced and qualified professional consultants, individuals, or corporations, to prepare an Active Transportation Plan for the District of Port Hardy.
The plan should support community-specific active transportation networks that are safe, accessible and convenient for all ages and abilities. Active transportation is human-powered forms of commuting to work, school, recreation, socializing or running errands.
This project has been generously funded by the District in conjunction with the Province of BC under the Active Transportation Network Planning Grant program in the amount not to exceed $70,000.00. The District anticipates the Proponent’s expenses will be approximately 90% of the project budget.
The project, including presentation of a final report to the District of Port Hardy Council is to be completed by March 19th, 2021.

The Proponent is solely responsible for ensuring any addenda are downloaded, reviewed and included in their bid. Any addenda can be downloaded at www.porthardy.ca.
The District reserves the right to waive informalities in or reject any or all proposals. The District also reserves the right to negotiate scope and price with the selected preferred proponent, without obligation to any other proponent. The job will be awarded to the proposal deemed to be the most favorable to the interests of the District. Proposal evaluation will be based on methodology and approach, capability and experience, pricing and ability to meet the proposed timeline. The District shall not be obligated in any manner to any Proponent whatsoever until a written agreement has been duly executed.
