An opportunity exists for the operation, maintenance and promotion of the Art Holding Memorial Arena in Chase, BC.
The Art Holding Memorial Arena (the Chase Arena) is owned by the Village of Chase. Built in 1998, the Arena has been well maintained, however can use some upgrades to seating areas, change rooms and potentially to mechanical aspects.
For the past 20 years, the Chase Arena has been operated under the direction of the Chase and District Recreation Centre Society (the Society) by way of a partnering agreement with the Village of Chase. The Village has under the partnering agreement contributed some annual operating funds to the Society, to augment rental and other revenue generated by the Society.
The society members have been overseeing all aspects of the Chase Arena’s operation as volunteers, with day to day management being conducted by a paid manager. The volunteers have dedicated a tremendous amount of time and effort, and after 20 years, they welcome a new approach to the operation of the Arena.

The Heat generate revenue for the operation of the Chase Arena through ticket sales, exhibition games, training and other activities. The community of Chase is a big supporter of the Chase Heat. Other Chase Arena users include Chase Minor Hockey, private groups and small organizations.
The Village of Chase requires an experienced, knowledgeable, professional recreation facilities operator to embrace the operation of the Art Holding Memorial Arena. A subsidy from the municipality is currently in place for the existing operating not-for-profit organization. A subsidy may be negotiated with the successful operator and it is fully expected that the facility’s usage can be enhanced to generate additional revenue.Request for Expressions of Interest
