Grants for Community Groups

The grants database on the CivicInfo BC website lists only grants available to BC local governments, and it does not include grant opportunities for other community-based groups.

Grants for community-based organizations can be found on the “Funding Sources for British Columbia Communities” website, located at:

This resource, intended primarily for rural communities, is provided through a partnership between the Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) of Greater Trail, the BC Rural Team, and the BC Rural Network.

CFDC of Greater Trail advises that while most programs listed on their website are funding-oriented, programs that provide other forms of support and assistance are also included. The primary focus of the CFCD website is to provide support for social, economic, and environmental community development initiatives in rural areas, although the programs are not necessarily exclusive to rural areas.
