Description:
The Municipal Infrastructure Lending Program will contribute to healthier, safer and modern residential communities for Canadian individuals and their families through a broad range of municipal housing-related infrastructure projects.
Municipalities will have access to low-cost loans through Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. This new source of funds will significantly decrease the cost of borrowing for municipalities, and can be used by them to fund their contribution for cost-shared federal infrastructure programming.
Project proposals will be accepted until all available funds are committed. All loans will be advanced by March 31, 2011.
