The Province is providing $1.5 million for Round Two of the Connecting Citizens Grant Program is a $5.2 million, multi-year grant program. It helps to pay for infrastructure required to deliver Internet connectivity to homes and businesses in rural and remote areas of British Columbia.
Application Deadline
Call for applications will start October 9, 2009. Applications must be received no later than 16:30 PST (4:30pm PST), November 23, 2009. Late applications will not be accepted.
Eligible Applicants
An eligible applicant can be a for-profit or a not-for-for profit organization. Examples include: local and regional Internet service providers; community broadband networks; Aboriginal organizations; local governments such as regional districts; economic development organizations; and registered societies and associations. Timing:
