
HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
The incumbent will provide HR related services in a variety of programs and activities, including the recruitment and assignment of temporary and casual employees, and the maintenance of the City's job descriptions. You will also provide support in the recruitment of permanent employees, job evaluation, labour relations and HRIS implementation. You exercise considerable independent judgment and action in organizing work routines and handling technical work problems.
You hold a Certificate in Human Resource Management, have three to five years experience in Human Resources administration, including experience with HRIS systems; and are eligible for CHRP certification.
You have thorough knowledge of Human Resources functions and policies, as well as the Human Rights Code, legislation, Union contracts and regulations relative to wages, salaries, employee benefits and working conditions. Knowledge of recruiting, screening, testing and hiring practices is an asset. Proficient computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database programs (such as Word, Excel, Access and HRIS) is required.
This is an Excluded position; $48,257.69 - $53,619.66. A comprehensive benefit package is included.
