Deputy Treasurer

The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), with offices located in Salmon Arm, invites applications for the position of Deputy Treasurer.

This is a middle management position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration of the CSRD financial systems; provides strategic leadership and supervision of monthly and annual financial reports and analyses; performs statutory financial administrative functions in the absence of the Manager, Finance & Information Technology; manages subordinate staff; and ensures provision of services in compliance with applicable Regional District bylaws, policies, statutory requirements and the collective agreement.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a professional accounting designation such as CGA, CMA, CA, or comparable education; plus a minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible relevant experience, preferably including experience in local or regional government; experience in the management of staff, preferably in a unionized environment; and experience in public consultation process. A Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License is required for the job.
