Main Purpose & Function
An IT Project Manager (PM) is required to continue to lead the work on several IT Security Initiatives, including additional phases of our IT Hardware Security project (Athena) as well as IT aspects of the PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance project. Other projects assigned to the IT PM ( IT Security) might include IT infrastructure upgrade projects and IT system migration projects with a significant IT Security component. The incumbent assembles and manages project teams to successfully deliver the projects. Is responsible for a timely delivery of the projects within budget and to a high level of quality. Regularly reports on the status of each project to the Manager - Project Management Office (PMO), Project Sponsor and/or Project Steering Committee.

This is a temporary full-time position for a duration of 18 (eighteen) months, with the possibility of extension(s).

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager of the Project Management Office, the responsibilities of the incumbent will encompass all the project management process including: initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing. On any particular project this will include developing and getting approval for project charter and detailed project plans; preparing and monitoring budgets, implementation schedules and communication plans; assembling and leading a team of IT professional staff; preparing reports and presentations to senior managers on project progress; addressing organizational changes introduced by the project; and coordinating equipment and service acquisitions and deliveries from vendors. The incumbent will manage multiple, medium-size IT projects concurrently.

Qualifications
A degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline and a minimum of five years experience as a Senior Systems Analyst, three years of Project Management experience in increasingly complex IT projects or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal training in Project Management methodologies preferably consistent with those provided by the Project Management  Institute (PMI) is highly desirable. Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred. Formal training in IT Security principles, systems and practices is desirable. Also required: demonstrated ability to apply Project Management methodologies to projects for successful completion; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to manage large work loads and multitask effectively; ability to organize, co-ordinate and manage people to achieve project goals; ability to manage projects crossing multiple departments, multiple business processes and multiple stakeholder groups; ability to reconcile differing perspectives, develop consensus, and secure  co-operation and support from both customers and team members.
